UPDATED: JAN 4, 2019 Vaahdoton, kirkas tumma. Tuoksu makea, maakellaria, lakritsia. Maku äärimmäisen makea, vahva rusina, ehkä lakritsaisin mitä maistanut, maakellaria, tunkkaisuutta.

Inbreak (9705) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - AUG 30, 2018
Old rating rerated 30.08.2018, tap @ Bryggeriet:
Small brown bubbly shortlasting head, deep dark pour. Aroma is slightly rich sweet sour-ish fruity, dried dark fruits, dark sugar, oak, minerals, alcohol, bark, raisins, old rope, chocolate, grape peel, bark, fruit stones. Taste is sweet fruity, dried dark fruits, dark sugar, raisins, minerals, fruit stones, oak, grass, alcohol, old rope, bark, chocolate. Medium bitterness, sweet fruity mouthfeel. Nice enough, very much like a rich sweet fruity port wine.

Pours black with negligible head. Aroma is booze, molasses and smoke. Taste is super sweet brown sugar and faint chocolate, moving to roast, vanilla and some coffee. Finish is roast and alcohol burn. A decent beer, just too sweet, even for a sweettooth.

SvanteL (652) - SWEDEN - JAN 2, 2018

@ISKTR 2017. Batch nr. 373, brewed 03/07/2008, best before 03/07/2018.

Bottle 25cl @ ISKTR ’17. Pours dark brown, very small head. Salty, pickle juice right after pouring, roasted malts, coffee aroma. Very sweet, cloying, sugary, some malts in the flavor. Too sweet for me, weird aroma.

Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a very dark brown to black color with a small khaki head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark caramel, dark fruit, raisins, dark chocolate, wood, blackberry, coffee, some ash, molasses, some alcohol but it is mostly warming, with a medium plus body. Solid, but can get just as solid with less cost.

Foffern (2838) - Bodø, NORWAY - JAN 27, 2017
Bottle at home. Nearly nine years now since bottling. The colour is pitch black with a small light beige head. Complex aroma of cocoa, sweet chocolate truffles, lots of roasted coffee beans, burned wood and hints of liquor. Powerful flavor with a mix of sweet liqueur, coffee, ash and chocolate. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, full-bodied indeed, and light to medium bitterness. A fantastic IS where the coffee and chocolate are battling. Incredibly balanced and rich at the same time.
