COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours murky brown with a thick off white head. Lots of berries here, smooth, light hoppy , creamy. Really nice drinkability. Earthy notes, some caramel as well. Interesting.

Quite hazy, straw yellow beer with small creamy white head. Very big aroma of pine, citrus, pale malt, herbs and some grass tones. First impressions are wow, I love this beer and its forest character. Medium body, carbonation and flavour of forest, pine resin, spices and lemon zest. Very fresh flavours with some coriander.

06.09.2014, 0,5l bottle sampled @ Bergen Ølfestival:
No head, just some bubbles. Aroma is slightly sour-ish fruity, heather, pine needles, lemongrass, moss, leafs, soap. Taste is slightly dry foresty, heather, weeds, leafs, pine needles, sap, lemongrass, bark, mold, grass. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish grassy mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Sigmund (11541) - Tau, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2015
Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Cloudy (end of bottle) very pale straw colour, moderate to low white head. Fairly distinct aroma of lavender, the lovage, nettles and spruce tips are more sundued. Both the nettles and lovage come through very distinctly in the flavour. I am not the world’s biggest fan of lavender in beer, (and lovage is also better to feed chicken or spice soups than in beer) but at least the beer is very different from your average swill.
