MelbBrewersJD (45) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 4, 2017UPDATED: SEP 4, 2017 in a word 'underwhelming'.....oh and 'thin '. A disappointing way to finish my tasting paddle at Embassy craft beer bar in Brisvegas. minimal grapefruit on the nose and nothing at all in the body. poor.
ANZUShophunter (2343) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 21, 2017On tap at brewery. Amber with thin white head and aroma of mango, passionfruit, pine and earthy hops. In spite of the broad hop profile, they feature at different times and don’t overwhelm each other. Refreshing in hot weather. Not sure how I missed rating this until now considering it’s in my profile pic
varanid99 (1470) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 2, 2016Slightly hazy amber pour with a thin off white head. Mango, orange, passionfruit and caramel aromas. Taste is passion/pine, orange and grapefruit, bitter, not too sweet, bit of caramel, quite dry finish.
neongolden (3888) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 20, 2016(On tap @ Embassy, Brisbane, July 15 2016) Pours slightly hazy medium gold with a dense white head that left lots of lace. Aroma of mango, orange, grass, slightly resinous, quite light malty notes of caramel and cracker underneath. Flavour recapitulates the nose, with candied orange peel, mango, general citrusy notes, grass, slightly sweet and crackery pale malt. Finish is light to moderately bitter with grass and pith over a bit more cracker. Medium bodied with fairly high prickling carbonation. Very light on the malt body for style and flirting a bit with APA-like styling, but it’s clean and refreshing and hop-forward. Good easy drinker.
Pointclick (35) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 17, 2015into a glass, it has a small head for an ipa, smells overly of pine for me with some honey, for sure there is vic secret hops in this. or galaxy. a smooth ipa. as the label says made for the climate, here in QLD it would go down well on a hot day. some citrus notes with fruity sweetness. not to much else going for it. but for sure session able. decent work
Kurtos (325) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 22, 2015Purchased as past of bridge roads 24 variety pack.
Bottle. Pours a light gold colour.
Aroma. Mango and other tropical fruits in general.
Taste. I feel as though the marketing deScription is quite accurate with a piney bitterness that lingers throughout backed by sweet tropical fruits.
CareyRobinson (7) - Mooroolbark, AUSTRALIA - OCT 23, 2015 does not count I really enjoy this beer! Currently sipping on the version that actually had a brewing malfunction and Diacetyl was accidentally added to the beer. The beer for mine has a great taste and very sessionable, It has quite i nice blend of both hop and malt presence with no to much of either.
Toasty characters with a touch of pine, passionfruit, citrus and a creamy finish.
This defect version defiantly has a more honey flavour to their classical brew which i find more appealing.
LesArgen (726) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 24, 2015Aroma of orange, pine, passionfruit, honey and rockmelon are followed by orange peel, lemon and lots of tart pine in the mouth. It’s very hop forward as advertised but with impressive length leaving a lingering hot alcohol streak in the back of the throat that’s pleasant rather than overbearing. Not a lot of malt, but plenty of body nonetheless. A very enjoyable IPA.
