For the style this is a really lovely beer, not far off a lager when served chilled, very crisp, clear, great hop and malt balance. Not offensive and very quaffable. Very nice to drink when sat in the sun.

Bottle, from Co-op, Hessle. Dirty gold, thin but sustained tight white head and gentle condition. Gentle fruity citrus and a hint of floral honey on the nose, full bodied and honey sweet in the mouth with a gentle lemon citrus note and a muted hoppy bitterness developing, finish has a more dominant bitterness with hints of yeast, a little peppery spiciness and a last blast of citrus lemon and sweet honey

Bottles from Co-op, Whitby and Beer and Spirits 17, Market Place, Knaresborough N.Yorks HG58A. Pale golden in colour with a thin white head. It has a gentle floral and citrus hop flavour with malty notes and toffee on the bitter-sweet finish. Ok.

Cask conditioned at York Beer Festival ’15. Gold with white head. This had quite a flowery, perfumed character, sweetish and fairly thin. There is a herby close. Just a bit on the plain side.

500ml bottle at home. Pours light clear amber with white head that soon dissipates. Nose is light floral and a bit metallic. Taste is citrus, light fruit, malt, cereal, straw and a bitter twang to finish. Nice

500 ml Bottle. Golden with a fading white head. Much like the Nook Red, there’s a lack of nose, but picks up on the tongue. Nose is mild citrus and herbs. On the tongue the citrus comes into its own and there’s definite fruit. Grapefruits, lemon zest... Sot/flat carbonation, and a citrus bitter finish.

Clear light to medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, toasted, fruity, pale malt, wheat ! light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111023]
