COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An authentic Porter at 6% ABV. The name refers to this being the second Nordic guest brew, that is developed together with Lasse Ericsson from Nynäshamn Ångbryggeri, south of Stockholm. The beer is top fermented and added honey before the fermentation, which results in a soft and creamy coffee black porter with a soft aroma of chocolate, coffee, and nuts. The flavor is dry, light, and elegant with notes of liquorice and dried fruits. The bitterness is low and the harmonious aftertaste is dominated by liquorice.

Bottle. Black with hint of Red. Roast malty, very chocolatey (dark bitter chocolate), very coffeeish. Fruity, nutty, liquorice. Rich, creamy. Sweet, dry roasted finish. Nice Porter. (2008)

Had high hopes for this porter. Poured dark mahogany with very little head. Aroma was all metallic and raisins. Taste was all raisins and smoked malt. I love me a good porter but this one was not my thing.

Keg at the Brewery. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose is roasty, toast, cocoa, coffee, mild acidity and liquorice. The taste is light roasty, earth, toast, bounty, liquorice, treacle, dark fruit and spice with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty.

Opaque brown/black with a long-lasting 1/2" head; dots and streaks of lace. Taste is toasted malt with nutty overtones and hints of coffee/chocolate. All move smoothly through the palate to a bitter chocolate finish that drops off quickly, but lingers nicely. Not strong (c’mon, it’s 6%), but everything a good porter should be. Exceptional taste and balance. High recommendation.

60 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 05.01.2009
Aroma has coffee, roasted malt, some licorice and semi‐dark chocolate. Flavour is slightly sweet with licorice, semi‐dark chocolate, some caramel and sugary notes. Dryish finish with coffee. A bit too thin palate. Good!

Aroma is malts, coffee and hints of chocolate and sweetness. The flavor is coffee, medium sweetness from the honey, fruit and a mildly acidic finish.

Pour is dark brown w/ a small bubbled light brown head and some nice lacing. Aroma of big roasty malt, pretty sweet, a hint of licorice and tobacco. Full rich well coated palate. Flavor of well roasted malts, leaves a touch of a smoky tobacco remnant in my mouth. Grainy notes with a hint of coffee and chocolate and a touch of walnut and a subtle sweetness beyond the flavors I recognize. A very well done porter.

Pours an opaque dark brown-black. No head, but a tan lacing stays throughout. Aroma is sweet, with milk chocolate and dried cherries dominating. Flavor is likewise sweet, with lightly roasted chocolate malts leading the way. Dark fruits, honey, and alcohol (brandy) follow behind. Mouthfeel is a tad thick, but not oily at all, with a moderate amount of carbonation. In sum: A fine porter for those who like their beers on the sweet side. Seek this one out.
