UPDATED: DEC 24, 2021 @ Gammelgårdsvägen 24/12-21. Bottle from Systembolaget. Dried fruity and overripe fruity with caramel and notes of banana. Body is full, the finish is dried fruity with caramel.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2021 Djupröd, brun färg med lättbrunaktigt skum. Alkohol i doften och ganska ren i övrigt, med lite återhållsamma päronestrar. Smaken är också ganska ren och maltig och med en ton av torkad frukt. Maffig och söt med en lite torrare avslutning. För att vara i belgisk stil är den ganska ren och inte så komplex som förväntat. Min tankar går nästan mer åt åt engelska kraftiga stilar som barley wine eller en 'winter warmer'. Absolut god, men hade önskat lite mer smaker som väger upp maffigheten i alkoholstyrkan för att vara en 'belgare'. Plus för Thelonius Monk såklart

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2021 Flaska från SB. Ren och klar rubinröd/mahogny med hög smutsvit/beige krona. Klassiska och väldigt rena quad-toner med torkad frukt, bränt socker, estrar, maltsötma, jästkaraktär. Klassisk och gott om än kanske en aning för städat.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2021 Flaska från systembolaget. Brunaktig öl med beiget skum. Trevlig öl med fina toner av jäst, malt, karamell, banan, torkad frukt och lakrits. Torr fin avslutning.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2021 35cl Fles van De Laat. Kastanjebruine kleur, beige kraag. Geur bevat iets van bosvruchten, licht funky zuurtje, moutig. Smaak is redelijk zoet, moutig, donker fruit, vijgen, dadels, rozijntjes, hint van rood fruit, caramel, bruine suiker, bitterzoete finish. Medium body, eigenlijk te dun voor de stijl. Wel erg smakelijk.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2021 Pours a clear copper brown on tap with bubbly off-white foam that dissipates quickly to leave minimal lace. Aroma of dark fruit and phenolic esters, a touch of isoamyl acetate, candied sugar and booze. Taste is sweet up front from booze and and malt with a dry, quick finish, mild bitterness to balance. Solid for what it is, but a but too much banana for me.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2021 Fles 35,5cl thuis. Dried fruit, bittertonen, pruim, kruidnagel, rood fruit, caramel, bes, licht boozy. Redelijk dun. Goede balans. (12-3-2021).

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2020 Very plummy and strong, really good beer, but not the best in style. Clean and a pretty good american example of the style. Pacific standard berkeley 

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2020 bottle to glass. I rated this lower than most. mostly due to the palate; this seems thin to me for the style. has most characteristics for a quad but less flavor and heft than the norm.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2020 Bottled, 355 ml, shared with Miro B, Max and Tomislav. Amber with off white head. Malty, caramel, some fruity notes, sweetish. Medium bodied.
