COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered "Agave IPA" An aggressively hopped India Pale Ale brewed with the sweet nectar of the Blue Agave cactus, El Guapo, translated "the handsome one," looks sexy, smells beautiful, and feels great! El Guapo has a grassy citrus nose, notes of sweet caramel, and finishing with a smooth but strong bitterness.

johndoughty (7231) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 24, 2020 bronze with a small creamy head.Medium body with an excellent floral flavour.Hops are also present. Its strength is underplayed but its flavour isn't. Amusing label and an excellent beer. On top of this it was a new brewery for me.

deanso (14471) - Doncaster, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2020 355ml bottle from Beer52. Thick white head. Hazy golden pour. Lovely bitterness

DruncanVeasey (10318) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2020 Bottle. Clear coppery amber with a swirl of foam. Aroma marmalade, rye spice, bit of juicy green herb citrus. Orange, chocolate and peppery rye notes with a generous dollop of booze to conclude. Solid husk and rasp. Not detecting any wacky ingredients. Lean nutty malt linger not of the sticky peachy kind. Balanced. Very drinkable.

BlackHaddock (12580) - The County Time Forgot, Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2020 12 fl oz (355ml) bottle, via Beer52. Liked this. Old gold/amber body, lasting white crown on top. Piney nose and taste, fairly bitter and hoppy throughout, wouldn't know a cactus flavour if it came out and bit me but there was a slight sweetness below the surface of the hop centric flavours.

berkshirejohn (8771) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2020 [12oz bottle from Beer52.] A bright amber pour with a thin white head; aroma of pine resin, honey and agave; full malty taste with a resinous bitterness. A nicely balanced IPA with a trace of agave syrup in the finish.

simontomlinson (4357) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2020 Foamy white head stayed on a clear copper coloured still body. Minimal hop aroma. Medium bodied, tickly on the front with a dry back. Tastes like English hops with malt, jam & pepper tastes. Boring!

rauchbier (4713) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2020 Bottle, from Beer52. Orange gold, thin short lived white head and low condition. Fruity sweet nose with a Belgian yeasty ester note and a hint of spiciness, and some earthy hop in the background. In the mouth it has a decent balance between an estery sweetness and a chalky, almost bone dry, hop bitterness. There is a fruitiness and a little grainy malt, and some vegetal notes. Finish is fruity and earthy, becoming quite dry with some retronasal alcohol.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2020 Effing lovely. 7.5% but tastes half of that. Absolutely top notch. The best beer Beer52 has sent me.

AWS9 (1181) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - APR 30, 2020
UPDATED: APR 30, 2020 Bottle. Plenty of fire-y hops, nectar-y finish, add another -y adjective. Might be getting by on balancing the aggressive ABV with a fine amount of hops, but it works for me as a strong IPA.

SilkTork (7107) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 30, 2020
UPDATED: APR 30, 2020 Lockdown April, 2020, the day we got caught in the rain while eating cheese and onion pastries. 355ml dark brown bottle, filtered, from Beer52 as part of their Virginia pack. A little hoppy and serious for me. The addition of cactus juice is more of a gimmick than anything. The beer is very bitter even with the addition of the agave, which is supposed to be very sweet. Urgh. I am struggling with this. Needs a mixer to tone it down. I've mixed it with water, and that has softened it into something drinkable at least, if not exactly pleasant. Seriously - what the fuck. [0.9]
