Grumbo (14439) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2019 Bottle, last of the backlog ratings. Bought whilst on holiday in Devon. Poured amber brown with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops, fruit and a touch of wood. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Was quite drinkable.

Bitterbill (2959) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 16, 2017
From Oct 2005 Poured a lovely cloudy gold with a great head and nice lacing that remained throughout. The smell is definitely malt mixed with fruit...one of the nicest aromas of any Pale Ale I've tried. The taste is malt with sour undertones that represent the fruity smell I spoke of and is pretty long lasting. A very nice ale for sure and one that I'd visit again. PS: This bottle's best by date is 02/28-05.

Bottle. (Brief tasting notes and rating from old records) - BCA - Copper colour. Lots of sediment and floaties; impossible to pour clear. Sweet malts with tangy citrus fruit and spicy hop bitterness. Liked it. (Backlog)

papat444 (136) - Carignan, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 10, 2017
Appearance: Brown body color reminds me of apple cider. Massive , thick head that sticks to the sides of the mug, very fluffy. Smell: Mild, aromatic hops aroma. Taste: A kind of mineral, earthy taste but a little bit thin in body. Finishes a little bit astringent, not bad. Mouthfeel: This is better, hops are balanced, not aggresive and mild malt in there also. A little bit citrusy & floral in the palate. Finishes a bit bitter. Reviewed on: 04-03-2008

hauxe (3004) - Butzbach, GERMANY - OCT 9, 2016
Rated from old notes. Smells like bad wine, tastes like a watery port with caramel and a hint of carbonation. A complex beer with a bittersweet taste. Nice creamy head. Good.
