COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark, rich ale is based on the combination of eight different malts and cereals. This yields a complex malt profile with some sweetness, balanced by American hops, which also provides the ale with a citrussy aroma. Can be enjoyed on a cold day by itself or with grilled meat and hearty stews. Ølfabrikken Brown Ale is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

A clear orange-amber body with a well lasting thick white head. Nose has sweet notes of roasted caramel, syrup and nuts. Taste is very mildly sweet with a hefty bitterness that lingers on the palate. Lively carbonation and easy drinking mouthfeel. Quite nice and complex, perfect for fall evenings or paired with heavier foods.

Dark red-brown ale, clear. Smooth chocolatey malt leads very nicely to a mildly hoppy finish. Not overdone at all. Well joined up tasty beer. Who needs Jackie Brown?

Bottle (swingtop)@home. Pours clear brown, with small off white head. Little lacings. Aroma of caramel and toffee, and a little note of choclate as well. Taste is lots of malt, medium bitternss, and a little sourness as well, mabye becauce it is a vintage. Body is medium with a slightly creamy texture. Still some carbonation. Old but still a nice beer.

Great brown ale. Very rich aroma of spices, american hops, coffee, toast and nuts. Roasted bitter flavor along with the bitter us hops. One of the best brown ales i’ve tasted.
