UPDATED: NOV 7, 2021 750 ml bottle 11/6/21 (Binny's) 38° in snifter. Pours black with a small tan covering for a head which emits an aroma of bourbon, coffe, and chocolate. Taste of the same. This full bodied brew is well balanced and is a nice sipper on a cool evening. Great brew.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2021 Backlog. Pours black with a big tan head. Aroma is of malt, roast, chocolate, licorice, and alcohol. It tastes of chocolate, sweet malt, roasty, and a little bourbon but that’s subdued. Full bodied. Really good.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2021 The aroma is some anise, slight chocolate, hint of Bourbon. Pours dark copper brown with amber hues, big tan head, somewhat lasting and good lacing. The taste is a mild bitter and a slight tart at the end, The body is medium/full, the texture slight creaminess and a touch watery. The carbonatiob is lively and the finish long.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2020 Bottle. (thanks Tom) Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark malt, coffee, chocolate and bourbon. The same in the taste. The body was full and the finish quite long with notes of warming alcohol.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2020 Pours black into a shaker. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Chocolate and espresso aromas. Dry with sweet chocolate and soy upfront turning to hot espresso in the lasting finish.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2019 Bottle. Black body. Fluffy tan head, lasting. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, light bourbon, light oak, dark fruit. Lightly to moderately sweet to start. Lightly bitter finish. Medium to full body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Slightly boozy in the finish, but that doesn't disrupt the chocolate/roast/oak flavors.
