neongolden (3888) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - APR 20, 2019
UPDATED: APR 20, 2019 (330ml bottle from Omnipollo Webshop) Pours pitch black with a small dark tan head. Notes of acidic malt, somewhat tart red fruit, ash, wood, some faintly earthy coffee, maybe some nuts and bourbon. On the whole, just feels like it's infected and off; none of the Noa hallmarks are here and it is barely on the right side of drinkable. Somewhat thin mouthfeel and average carbonation. Was looking forward to this variant but I think I'd need to have another bottle (at this price?...).

Svesse (12015) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 7, 2019
UPDATED: APR 7, 2019 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 5 Oct 2018) Black colour with brief, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of fresh black coffee, dark chocolate, hints of vanilla and rum. Malty, roasted, slightly tart taste with coffee, dark chocolate, tart berries and a balanced coffee bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty, with a slight coffee acidity coming through. Nice one.
