Draft to mini-snifter yesterday at La Margarita in Indy. I’m not sure if this is from the original batch or if it was re-released, and if so, whether it’s Appleton Estate rum-barreled, so I’m rating it here rather than creating a new entry. Looks good; a slightly translucent very dark cola with mocha head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells rum-forward alongside strong notes of dark malt, dark chocolate, and oak. Tastes like it smells with a rummy/boozy full-bodied mouthfeel. Enjoyable, but nowhere near as good as the BB varietal.

October 24, 2014 - on tap Darkness Eve at Stubs. Black pour with limited tan head. Aroma was chocolate, roasted malt and strong rum. Taste was a bit sweet and heavy on the rum. Still very good, but not on same level as the whiskey version.

Pitch black nice legs. Nose is biting and sweet with boozy oak and a ton of vanilla. Taste is otherworldly. Thin and sweet. Coats the mouth with brown sugar and maple sap. The finish is when rum cones through

Poured from a 32oz crowler can straight from the source. Really special delicious beer. Silky smooth like butter on the tongue. The rum turns this into a beast unto itself. Wonderful creation I must say.

On tap at World of Beer for Arizona beer week. Black pour, plenty of head. Aroma alcohol, chocolate, toffee. Flavor is a huge mouthful of rummy goodness, big alcohol presence, vanilla, caramel, and dark fruit.

Tap at FOBAB. This is just all rum, strange, rummy, thin. I love Ten Fidy and this only detracts.
