jgb9348 (9218) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - DEC 5, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2021 Very cloudy, super hazy bright straw and ghostly colored white coloured body with a thick, but fast-dying off-white and tan head that stays afloat for a little bit of time, but fades fairly quickly, especially near the end. Aroma of grass, citrus fruit, oranges and hay, all with a relatively strong lactose kick, noticeable throughout that shows strongly in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong lactose and super creamy notes show at first with some vanilla and pure cream notes right behind the relatively strong biscuity malts and only a dash of flowers and grass, but the lactose, creamy, vanilla and citrus fruit flavours dominate here, especially at the end. Aftertaste shows a good deal of bitterness from the alpha acids of the hops here, with a lot of lactose, pine and resin here still noticeable, but the malts and the citrus fruits notes dominate here. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer with a ton of earthy, citrus and grassy finish with a lot of bitterness and alpha acids from the hops bitterness, but enough complexity and richness throughout.I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Union Square), New York on 04-December-2021 for US$4,99, canned on 08-November-2021 and sampled a few minutes later walking the streets of New York, New York with my family on 04-December-2021.
