UPDATED: AUG 31, 2018 All the haters be damned. Great light beer. Drink 12 of them in a row and feel perfectly fine in every respect.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2017 is a light version of pearl that I have always loved. finishes lightly with no bitterness whatsoever. a very under rated brew in my opinion.

Pours a straw color. Pretty good white head. About one finger, light retention, light lacing. Great carbonation.

Aroma is light and seltzer water. Very light grain. A touch of floral hops

Taste is seltzer water. Very light hops give it some flavor.

Mouthfeel is very light and water. A little too much carbonation.

Overall, it’s not terrible. For what it is, it’s quite good. But I don’t care for it too much. I probably wouldn’t recommend it, and I wouldn’t buy it again.

Originally rated on 9/19/08. Actually not as bad as you would think, a middle of the pack light beer. I think its better than regular pearl. Not much in the way of flavor, watery. You cant go wrong with the price.

Pearl Light has a very thick, spongy, white head, and a clear, bubbly, straw-gold appearance, with low-to-moderate lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of faint, but pungent grain. Taste is of watery grain, with a lemon note. Mouthfeel is very watery, and Pearl Light finishes dry and easy drinking. This is dull, as one would expect for 68 calories. RJT

Something else that comes out of Texas. If I were you, I would stick to margheritas.

12 oz. can served in a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass. A random fisherman gave me this when I was in Del Rio, TX. A - Crystal clear pale body with 2 finger of fleeting white head that settles into a thin cap. Nice lacing. S - Strange vegetal aroma right off the bat. Slight grainy aroma. T - Lager yeast, very light dry malt flavor. No sweetness and finishes very crisp and dry. M - Medium prickly carbonation, super light body, crisp and very dry. This is hot summer thirst quencher. Very dry and not much going. Almost taste like seltzer water. Serving type: can 03-09-2012

OMG best beer eeeeeever. No calories!! Ok not really. It's a crappy light beer, just not quite as crappy as other light beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Holy cow, is that correct? 2.16% alcohol? That actually might make me like it more. Perhaps the most watery beer I’ve ever had. It’s only purpose is to serve as a chaser for whiskey.

7/24/10. This hot find was shipped my way by my main brah Cavie, fa sha duuude! Slammed from the can like a real man! Very light, plenty of corn and grain and a dash of metal, but otherwise somewhat clean - could definitely be worse. Could shotgun about 50 of these, brah!
