COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Every year we set aside a few of our absolute best barrels of imperial stout to stand on their own, unadulterated and without adjuncts. We call this blend Maman, or the mother of our barrel-aged stout series. It's our purest expression of beer in oak and presents a luxurious combination of cocoa, caramel, vanilla, and maple wrapped up with a big boozy bow. This batch is a three-barrel Knob Creek blend with barrels supplied by our friends at The Wine & Cheese Place. Two 14-year old Knob Creek Bourbon barrels and a Knob Creek Rye aged for two years (2 + years in barrel).

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Bottle thanks to Anthony. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong peat, wood, bourbon, smoke. Slick body, roasted malt, wood, dark chocolate, boozy, dry finish, very nice.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2021 750 ml bottle via trade. Pours a deep, dark, opaque brown with no head. Notes of vanilla, oak, roasted malts, cocoa, fudge, bourbon, marshmallow, caramel, and toffee. Light-medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a sweet, warming, dry, and barely roasty mouthfeel. Thinner and drier than the regular 2020 and even the CBC version, but still very good. But it isn't the big, thick version the bros love so it was easy to trade for. Lucky for me.
