UPDATED: OCT 18, 2021 Petrus Dubbel pours a beautiful hazy brown color, however, the light brown head dissipates rather quickly. Its malty nose is roasty and nutty and filled with caramel and dark chocolate goodness with hints of honey and prunes. The attack is dominated by dark chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar and rye bread crust with nicely muted sweetness, followed by a mid-palate with low-key hop notes of grass. The finish is quite long and leaves caramel, dark bread, and nice acidity behind. Easily the best 7 Eleven beer I’ve had so far.

Bouche sur les épices et le sucre candi. Elle est très bonne au premier abord mais peut devenir ecoeurante au bout d'un moment. (M)
