UPDATED: JAN 31, 2019 Reddish amber orange pour. Malty with slight acidity/vinegar/funk and a light but fresh strawberry aroma and taste. Kind of simple, but tasty enough.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2018 On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe - Big Wood ‘18, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh, lightly tart strawberries, and a little oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with fresh tart strawberries, a touch of phenols, and light oak. A little phenolic, but the strawberry comes through nicely. Decent.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2018 Draft pour at Brouwers Big Wood. Reddish orange pour, clean and shiny, thin patchy head. Aroma is quite unique from the taste here. Aroma is a fresh strawberry like tone. Flavor reminds me of a scotch barrel. Some smoke comes though, and the peat lingers forever. Oak for sure. Maybe the smoke is my imagination. Really unique brew here. Fun, tasty beer.

Bottle. A: Strawberry red with a firm white foamy head. Light lacing N: Strawberry, oak, grapefruit zest, phenols, attics, burnt plastic, blueberry, touch of cherry. T: Good level of strawberry and oak but the burnt plastic is fairly noticeable here. Quite a bit of berry flavor though. M: Light body, crisp carb, no alcohol. O: Good but it can't escape the strawberry pit and get away from the off-flavors.

Bottle. Colour...clear amber with no head at all. Nose...faint strawberry and tons of Listerine like phenols. Palate... gad! Even more Listerine, but laced with Band Aids aa well! Not sure what happened here, but the phenols really overpower the fruit, which is a shame. There’s some tangy fruit on the back palate but this is almost like sour ale that’s trying to pose as a Islay scotch.

Bottle shared with Toby and Jeremy. Pink color, head disappears instantly. Bright, full strawberry aroma. Taste is more of the berries with a splash of tartness. Sweet and tart.
