This is a bitter beast. white pepper, pine bullets, citrus, odd dullness here and there, where’s the caramel? Crushed it. Need keg.

Pours hazy dark gold with a small white top. Aroma is light grapefruit hops and cereal malt. Taste is much the same. Very nice beer showing the Zeus hops. Very prominent.

Lasting white foamy head atop a deep orange body. Nose of sweaty oranges. Flavour is nicely tart with a good resiny base. Pretty good.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with a dense off-white head. A lot going on, with some tropical fruit, citrus zest, a little grassy, a touch of melon. A bit of a soapy mouthfeel, but very nicely balanced with good bitterness. Pretty nice IPA.

Golden pour with white head. Aroma is citrus with tropical fruits, dough. Flavour has a doughy underlying malt quality with lemon and pineapple. Lingering bitterness. Good.

Bottle, from Phillips Beer Advent Calendar 2013. Hazy yellow body topped by a thick white meringue that shows incredible staying power-- I’m looking at my 3/4 empty glass and it still has a thick white head with messy lacy cobwebs all down the sides. Aroma is sharp grapefruit rind and fresh pine. Austere crackery malts, white grapefruit, touch of mint, touch of white pepper, intense bitterness. One of the best IPAs I’ve had from these guys in a long time.

Pours hazy yellow, nice bubbly head. Smells of citrus, big hops pine and a sweet cotton candy note. Taste starts a little like caramel and sweet. Than it smacks you with a ton of hop bitterness and carbonation. Finish is dry and lingering. Stay away if you do not like hops, or maybe if you even do. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2013 Showcase day 5! Pours a clear yellow with a big foamy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is hop driven, citrus, pine earthy, spicy with a hint of sweet fruit. Taste is sweet citrus, some tropical fruits, earth, pine and a joke good bitterness that at first seems harsh hit is very coying and blends well with the malts. Overall a nice ipa.

Snow case day 5! Pours a crystal clear yellow with a large white head and massive amounts of lace. Aroma is citrus, earthy, spicy, pine like, and a mild sweetness. Flavour is pungent, sweet citrus, earthy, spicy, pine like, medium bitterness on the harsher side though I really enjoy it and it lingers into the after taste with a light sweet malt presence.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Rerate from the Phillips Snowcase Advent Calendar - December 5, 2013. Not much more to add to the description or scoring, but I must say this one wiped the floor in competition with the Craft BeerAdvent Calendar today. 341ml bottle from the Phillips HopBox mixer from Coop. Pours a hazy copper with a fairly frothy head. sticky lacing. Aroma is sweet orange zest and bold sappy, resinous pine note.Taste is mild sweetness (citrusy, piney, floral) and a lingering bitterness - sappy pine-tar. A really good single hop brew from Victoria.
