You can almost hear the sirens as you pop the cap on this bomber. This IPA slams hop first into a classic Belgian yeast to create a super-fortress of flavour.

Bottle. Sharp yeast, citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Golden in colour with a frothy white head. Sharp bitter hoppiness with tropical fruits. Medium body. Long hoppy finish. Very good.

Bottle, labelled as 7.3%. Golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is bright lemon zest and Belgian yeast, some tropical fruits coming trough as well. Flavour is sharp and zesty citrus with a touch of tropical fruit and that Belgian yeast, also slightly grassy - thick texture and a lot going on. Pretty nicely done.

ENG: 650ml bottle from Liquor Mart in Winnipeg, poured into the Teku glass. Light-golden color with lots of residue, nice, thick, tan head and great lacing. Aromas of cloves, malts, tropical fruits. Some kind of smokiness, but that’s due to the lot of funkiness. Tastes also funky, hoppy, clovy, malty. Delicate wheat notes in both aroma and flavor. Bitterness is quite hidden but it’s present in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation, medium body. Overall nicely balanced funky IPA with interesting palate. The only exception to the overall note would be that residue, which was kinda massive and messy.

PL: Butelka 650ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do Teku. Jedyne zastrzeżenie do tych masywnych meszków / pozostałości.

Aroma is clove, grapefruit, lemongrass, earthiness, passionfruit and slight honey. Taste is a light, sweet and not overly deep malt profile. The earthy fresh tasting hop body is complex and not overpowering. Finishes crisply with light tanin burn. Appearance is a clear straw with a medium fluffy pearl head that retains very well.

On draft at the brewery. Clear yellow amber, with a white head. Citrus, floral hops, grapefruit, a bit fruity, caramel, and slight Belgian yeast character. Ok, but uninteresting.

Pours clear pale gold with a fat two fingers of loose white head diminishing gradually to a thick cap, moderately heavy lacing. (4/5) Nose is grassy and floral hops, Belgian funk, indistinct fruit and spices. (8/10) Taste is moderate sweet, strong bitter, mild funk. (9/10) Light body, moderate carbonation, lingering funky bitter finish. (4/5) This is probably on par with the best Phillips brews I’ve had so far. Decent balance of pungent hops and Belgian brett-like funk, with light malt supporting. Not as bright as Bottle Rocket, but the Belgian funk adds an interesting character singling this out from the rest of the Phillips stable. (17/20)

Delicious blend of a Belgian triple and an IPA. Taste of centennial. Lots of aroma and flavoring hops. Sweet malt and low bitterness for the hop flavor. 7.3% abv
