UPDATED: FEB 20, 2021 Copper color with a malty aroma. Aroma is sweet caramel malt and earthy smoke. Then finishes dry with a hop bitter aftertaste

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2020 12oz bottle at The Bier Stein, Eugene, OR on 11/06/2008. Lots of toffee, caramel and biscuity malt in this, but not at all saccharine and with a grainy edge.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2019 Tap @ Pike Brewing Co, Seattle. Pours a deep amber brown, small pale tan head. Caramel nose. Medium bodied, nice toffee presence, a small amount of sweet malt grain. Good wee heavy.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2019 Draft: Poured a clear burgundy color ale with a medium off-white foamy head with OK retention and light carbonation. Aroma of caramelized malt with light toffee notes is enjoyable. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes, some toffee with some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not the most complex offering from the style but enjoyable nonetheless.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2019 Draft at the brewery. Dark amber color. Malty, with a slight hint of smoky scotch.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2019 Warm and malty flavour, but lacking something. A bit too sweet and a little too unbalanced for my taste

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2020 Hint of musk amd some florals. Amber pour with good head. Light caramel. Light sweet end. Tap at brewery.

Cobriza de buena espuma y buen aspecto. Aroma escaso, malteado. En boca es suave y de predominio malteado, tirando a dulce, con contrapunto de tono ahumado, ligeramente lupulado.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2018 Fles 35,5cl in Seattle. Lichte rooksmaak wegens peated scotch whisky malts, carameltonen, wat maltig. Apart. (8-2016).

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2018 Bottle flew straight form Seatle to Warsaw (Poland). Aroma caramel, toffee, bread. Little bitternes.
