crossovert (17015) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 25, 2016650ml bottle. This is too sweet and too boozy for a doppelbock, more like a triple bock, but it is okay, sweet, fruity, hoppy, and caramally, but not on top of the doppelbock spectrum.
ryecatcher (1632) - Beverly, Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 20, 2016Bomber. Deep chestnut brown pour, fat creamy beige head with excellent retention. Nose is dried fruit, toasty pumpernickel, nutty malts, some dried grass and caramel. Mouth is medium bodied, creamy, medium sweet, touch of bitterness to balance things out, lots of chewy dark bread, nuts, raisins, dates, caramel, finishes a tad warm (to be expected given the ABV). Really tasty doppel. Another P-Dubz masterpiece. Prost!
