COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sabro is a hop we’ve been on the periphery of, but haven’t had the chance to brew with just yet. The newest hype hop finally landed in our cold store just as we were arranging a collaboration with our friends at Chamonix-based Big Mountain Brewing Co, and it seemed as if it were written in the stars to use this hop for the occasion. Paired up with a Polly’s stalwart in Citra, and named for Scott’s truly awful George Takei impression, this beer is absolutely massive on pineapple, coconut, and creamy tropical fruit flavours.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2021 440ml can drank upstairs in the Kings Yard, Shifnal on 7th November 2021. Hazy golden body, white head. It's fairly 'slick' in texture. The aroma is all about tropical fruits and coconuts. The taste is also fruity and coconutty. My sweet tooth really enjoyed it.

rodsquad (1604) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - MAY 8, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2021 Can as gift. Hazy gold with a tall white head. Aromas of pineapple, lime-sharp sherbet. Floury white bread. Zesty bitterness. Orange icing. A fresh grassy veg. Medium full body. A bubbly foam carbonation. Moderately dry finish. Citrusy and zesty with a sherbet dust coating everything. It's refreshing but Sabro is weird.

AshtonMcCobb (12461) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 28, 2021
UPDATED: APR 28, 2021 Can from KWM. Appearance - cloudy yellow to brown. Big creamy white head. Nose - pineapple and orange. Minerally note. Taste - a bit dirty yeastiness on the finish, after a citrus middle part. Then quite resinous. Palate - light to medium bodied, bitter finish. Overall - interesting but slightly unbalanced!

imdownthepub (22082) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2021
UPDATED: APR 22, 2021 Canned, 440ml from Stori Beer & Win, Bala, Merioneth. Murky pineapple colour with white head. Straight into the Sabro Pina Colada flavours from the off, sneezy amount of hops giving full on pineapple and coconut flavours. This is backed up with citrusy flavours. Big and bold on the palate. Very pleasant indeed.

Darcysteels (149) - Surrey, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2021
UPDATED: APR 17, 2021 Pours juicy thick, great hop aroma, ripe pineapple, tropical fruit salad. Soft, coconut flavours, more pineapple. Medium palate, a little dry and a touch of bitterness. Feels bigger and boozier than its abv. Nice

BOTnakke (535) - - APR 16, 2021
UPDATED: APR 16, 2021 Can, 44 cl @home. Pours a hazy golden with a frothy white head. Hoppy aroma with malty backbone. Very dry and bitter and clean tarty taste, piney and a watery malty aftertaste. Medium to high carbonation. Fresh mouthfeel.

4.3
Polymodern (327) - Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2021
UPDATED: APR 14, 2021 Big Sabro one. Good aroma. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Taste is, well as awesome as you would expect. Tonnes of pineapple, lime, Pina Colada vibes. A classic New England pale, with Polly's intensity. Pretty sugary but not complaining, just superb in every way. When they do these super hoppy pales they are in a league of their own.
