UPDATED: FEB 13, 2021 Strong oaky bourbon, prune, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Very dark brown with small brown head. Mildly sweet bourbon, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Body much lighter than expected. Light malt flavor. Good but not great - don't know if I let this one age too long.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2020 Cask at GBBF, Earl’s Court on 03/08/2010. Actually tried the 2009 and 2010 vintages at the festival. 2009 was just that bit more complex, but both were amazing. Huge bourbon, rum, dark malt, leather, fig, date and treacle notes.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2019 2014 Vintage Bottle at home, 19th July 19. Pours black and viscous. Aroma is liquorice, barrel, liquor, wood. Taste is liquor, barrel, liquorice, caramel, not sweet, slight bitter. Fantastic Imperial Stout.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2019 Flaska på Koelschip Köpenhamn. Mörkt rödbrun med beige skum. Portvin, kola och malt i smak och doft.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2019 Bottle from a friend. Thanks Tide! Pours black and oily with a light tan head. Smooth vanilla with a hint of whiskey or rum, wine yeast and char. Surprisingly light body with oily texture, vanilla and a hint of spices, char and something bready. A very nice strong ale.
