Bière noire marron foncée brillante avec une mousse peu abondante. Cannelle, cardamome, chocolat, fève tonka. Douceur moyenne ronde, moyennement sec, légèrement rafraîchissant, amertume moyenne, arrière-plan chaleureux épicée. Présence en bouche moyenne bonne, texture fine, moyen gazeux, final torréfié chocolat épicé. Super.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2021 Black pour, brown head. Fantastic aroma of cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon. Taste follows, well spiced, with nutmeg and other spices coming through.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2021 A változatos címkéjű karácsonyi sorozat 2020-as verziója a Prairie-től már megszokott módon távol áll bárminemű szűkmarkúságtól mind az illatait, mind ízét illetően, ami az ünnepek táján hatványozottan helyénvalónak tekinthető. Egy elegánsabb, visszafogottabb vonalvezetésű, ám szintén téli fűszeres főzet után közvetlenül kóstolva is egyből érezhető a különbség az intenzitást illetően; harsányak az aromák, ánizsosak, kardamomos jellegűek, melyekhez hamarosan csokoládés krémesség, fahéjas pikantéria, szerecsendiós gazdagság társul. Olvasztott karácsonyi csemege, minden kortya egy önálló ünnepi desszert, méltó zárása a szentestének.

Bottle. Pours dark brown-black with no head. Spice, pepper, and chocolate aroma. Chocolate and spice flavors. Medium-full body. Medium-long finish.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2021 On tap at The Beer Cellar-Glen Ellyn, IL. as a 9 oz. serving viscously dispensed to a house snifter, showing a black/brown hue, with a finger's width of brownish tan froth, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was roasted, cocoa, holiday spice array with cinnamon at the lead, vanilla, and sweetness. Medium to full bodied, the taste was as the aroma notes, with low carbonation, syrupy texture, not overly sweet, with a pleasant, warming disposition.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2021 Butelka 2020. Kalendarz adwentowy 1 Wspaniały aromat pierników w czekoladzie, nuty moreli, śliwek, malin... Smak to oddaje doskonale, po prostu pierniki w płynie, takie z dużą ilością czekolady i owocowego nadzienia. W tle budyń waniliowy. Coś delikatnie grzeje w przełyku, to papryczki, których jednak jest zdecydowanie mniej niż w klasycznej Bombie. Raczej słodkie, PYSZNE!

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2021 I know it's early for Christmas, but I've been holding this for way too long, and I hadn't had one in 3 years. Aroma of cinnamon, spices, roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate, with a touch of herbal hops. Black pour, thick looking, a small, tan, head, with retention along the glass, and its legs. Medium sweetness, low bitterness, a lot of spices, cinnamon, allspice, star anice, dark chocolate, coffee. Body is thick, viscous, but thinner than expected, low carbonation, booze heat. To be honest, I had better memories of this, but it's definitely a very well made and tasty Christmas Stout.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2021 Bottle from Beerdome. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and heavy cinnamon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 011021

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2021 Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino medio-leggera. Al naso note di cioccolato, cannella, scorza d'arancia, spezie. In bocca e dolce all'attacco con chiusura amara, speziata. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Ok.
