Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, big coffee, sweet fake sugar, light milky lactose, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, sugary, nutty, light floral, light liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Taste is roasted malts, medium roast coffee, marshmallow, vanilla, brown sugar, some raspberry sweetness. Really nice, but too sweet for me, nails the style though.

Mortlach (4352) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 27, 2020UPDATED: NOV 27, 2020 Can @home. Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino media, non molto persistente. Al naso intense note di cioccolato e caffè sullo sfondo, leggera vaniglia. In bocca è dolce, cioccolatosa, con chiusura appena amara. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Non male.

Aroma is sweet milky cocoa, cakey malts, dried fruits, woody coconut. Flavour is composed of thick chewy malts, marshmallow, raspberry, rich cakey malts, licks of coffee, and choolate malts. Palate is rich thick, velvety, fine carbonation. somewhat chewy.

Aroma of vanilla, coffee, roasted malt, treacle and dark sugar. They really nailed this flavour-wise. Neither too strong on the vanilla, the lactose nor the coffee. Just a really nice beer, with lovely nuance of flavour.
