thepeter (326) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2012a-nothing special, but decent hazy copper with finger worth of head.
s-very nice, complex and a whole lot going on. Sweet zest of a clemintine, bit of spice and well hopped
T-much like the smell, but even more intence lot’s of flavor. Malt, citrus zesty, peppery spice, a touch of wood and a very nice dry finish.
M&D- much more delicate than I would have imagined. A bit too carbonated at first but it settled down after a bit. Very drinkable especially for the alc% of this one. I was very impressed there.
Overall a very good beer from a great brewer.

App.: Milky orange-amber with a small tan head.
Aroma: Sharp, peppery, somewhat fruity, cherry lemonade, sweet doughy, caramel, sweet a bit of alcohol, berries, some nice notes, not entirely cohesive.
Palate: Medium-full body, sparse effervescence.
Flav.: Strong fruitiness, grapefruit, yeast, berries, peppery, alcohol, somewhat harsh, resinous hops, big!; very sweet with strong bitterness, alcohol and a long fruity finish.
A little too much, both in name and in bottle.

Hazy orange amber beer. Good white head. Nose of sweet toffee, pear and a trace of banana. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Sweet toffee malt, a touch of cream. Subtle orange and a blooming peppery spice. Trace of banana cream. Wow! If Brick Lane residents had it this good in 1832 then it must have wiled away many a cold night!
