floydian1 (1901) - FNQ, Australia, - AUG 22, 2015750ml skittle-shaped bottle from Slowbeer, Melbourne. Presumably a 2015 seasonal release with ABV 6.3%. Hazy bright amber pour with a smallish white head for a Saison. I get quite prominent sweet tangerines on the nose with spicy earthy yeasty notes. Taste is similar to the nose with a dry lightly peppery finish. Easy drinking lightish palate. Nice Aussie Saison.
Danev76 (567) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 1, 2014Light citrus fruit aroma. Clear golden colour with excellent head. Big malt hit up front with surprisingly smooth fruit hop finish. Light to medium body with low to medium carbonation.
ShaneJ (917) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 30, 2013Bottle from Plonk (2013 release). Pale, slightly hazy golden, 1cm tight white head, fruity, spicy, slightly funky, hay, white cherries, dry, slightly acidic finish. Nice.
tooter (12) - Geelong, AUSTRALIA - SEP 24, 2012Sour beer which does not hold it’s head very well. Not a beer I will seek out but sooner or later I will try it again.
Davros (4374) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 10, 2011Pours gold with a small, fading head.
Nose shows nutty malt, soft caramel, some minerals, quite nice. Reminiscent of Nutella!
Flavours include the same nutty malt, also sweet caramel and a very slight tartness leading to a dry finish.
Could use a fair bit more carbonation.
I actually quite enjoyed this, quite understated and moreish.
mkel07 (9526) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 18, 2010750ml bottle. Bright golden amber colour with a lively fluffy pillow of white foam. Sweet and sour aroma of cherries and stone fruit. Flavour is moderately bitter with a warm alcoholic finish that is smooth and pleasant.
