COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden ale is an unfiltered rich complex malty ale with an outstanding bouquet. A distinctive yeasty note with a slightly spicy aroma and a warming, slightly alcoholic finish. Very smooth with a silky character. At around 6% you need to be careful, this beer will creep up on you.

24Nov2017 Sweet grain and bread malts, caramel, sweet barnyard, light esters. Hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Light sweet. Sweet grain and bread malts continue, caramel, molasses, light barnyard, sweet fruits, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Decent, could do with more farmhouse flavours. Keg at Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, Apollo Bay.

750ml skittle-shaped bottle from Slowbeer, Melbourne. Presumably a 2015 seasonal release with ABV 6.3%. Hazy bright amber pour with a smallish white head for a Saison. I get quite prominent sweet tangerines on the nose with spicy earthy yeasty notes. Taste is similar to the nose with a dry lightly peppery finish. Easy drinking lightish palate. Nice Aussie Saison.

Light citrus fruit aroma. Clear golden colour with excellent head. Big malt hit up front with surprisingly smooth fruit hop finish. Light to medium body with low to medium carbonation.

Sour beer which does not hold it’s head very well. Not a beer I will seek out but sooner or later I will try it again.

Pours gold with a small, fading head. Nose shows nutty malt, soft caramel, some minerals, quite nice. Reminiscent of Nutella! Flavours include the same nutty malt, also sweet caramel and a very slight tartness leading to a dry finish. Could use a fair bit more carbonation. I actually quite enjoyed this, quite understated and moreish.

750ml bottle. Bright golden amber colour with a lively fluffy pillow of white foam. Sweet and sour aroma of cherries and stone fruit. Flavour is moderately bitter with a warm alcoholic finish that is smooth and pleasant.
