This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers! 12.5°

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2021 As König Ludwig Weissbier Hell Bottle, 0.5l. Murky orange/copper pour, one finger frothy white head, medium lasting. Nice lacing on the glass as it goes down. Ok on the nose, somewhat sweet, ripe fruits and wet grass. Caramel malt in the background. Light to medium body, lively carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, refreshingly fizzy, somewhat watery. Taste is more on the sweet side with subtle sour notes to balance it out. Aroma of wheat, wet grass, caramel malt. Ripe fruits, bread, some earthy mineral notes. Yeast. Lingering spiciness. Short lasting finish, lingering banana notes. Solid.
