PugUglyBrewer (1038) - - JAN 29, 2018 Lean reddish brown color with a thin head of light tan foam. Equal parts roast, caramel and chocolate malt compete on the tastebuds and aroma. An easygoing brown with depth.

I got this bottle as an extra after a trade with JDV. Thanks Deniz!
This beer pours from 12oz bottle a dark brown with red highlights and a small head of foam.
The smell has a nice malty nose, some sweetness and some roastiness.
The taste starts off with a solid malt backbone of roasted, caramel, and some biscuit malt with a bit of hop bitterness in the background to balance out the malt. When swishing the beer in my mouth, the biscuit becomes more pronounced and I taste some nutty flavour as well. Nice. It has a thin mouthfeel, the carbonation is medium, and it finishes with a slight bitterness. I like this English Brown Ale. Very eazsy to drink and quite tasty. My first sample from Real Ale Brewing and they've done a good job.
Thanks again, Deniz!
kevinator (5671) - The Colony, Texas, USA - OCT 5, 2017Well done. Aromas and flavors of sweet wheat bread. Grainy and smooth. Enjoyed it.
FROTHINGSLOSH (11821) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 8, 2017Rachel brought this one back from a trip to San Antonio. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with red highlights and a large foamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was cola, cocoa, vanilla, fairly prominent nut and a bit of dark fruit. The flavor was woody and toasty with a strong nut presence followed by faint cola, dark fruit and smoke. Long toasty and nutty finish. Medium body. Excellent. I wish I could get more of this one.
wombat23 (4235) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAR 26, 2016Draft at the source. Clear brown color with small white head. Nose is roasted malts and coffee. Taste is roasted malts, coffee, light chocolate, and has a fair amount of nuttiness. Good.
darbeer75 (1301) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - MAR 26, 2016On tap at Real Ale brewery; Aroma: nutty and chocolatey; Appearance: dark amber with off white head; Taste: nice flavor; nutty but not bad -- not unnatural like many nut ales; malty, not very complex -- reminiscent of a porter; Palate: medium-heavy body; Overall: favorite pour of the day; would buy again if I find it.
DrNosha (6667) - Württemberg, GERMANY - NOV 5, 201512oz Flasche. Dunkelbraunes Bier. Nussiges Aroma, Röstmalz, Schokolade. Geschmack etwas flacher. Haselnuss, geröstete Kokosnuss.
dlihcsnatas (994) - Temple, Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2015It’s very brown with a decent head. Most brown ales I have had are more amber than brown but this one is brown as I guess it should be. Smells roasted with some smoke in it. Taste is caramel, roasted malts, and herbal bitterness. Left a very dry sawdust like aftertaste that was not too desirable. It’s decent and one that I am sure will visit again. Last had this in 2009 and my thoughts on it then are pretty much same now.
