UPDATED: MAR 30, 2021 This is a backlog rating from 2014 on draft at Ei8ht Ball, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are lightly toasted pale malts, mild citrus, grass, light earthy, moderate bitterness.

Pours a nice orangish color. Aroma is big citrus hops. Flavor of a classic pale, nice hop flavor.

Tap...light bodied beer with a clean, crisp taste and a decent bite on the finish. Nice for mowing the lawn.

Gold pour. White head. Meh, I guess it goes well with wings. Light hops, biscuity malt, nothing amazing.

Draft->shaker at BWW in Buckhannon. Pale yellow-gold with moderate white head. Lite citrus hops, grass, caramel malt. Watery, not good.

On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings, South Burlington, VT. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a super light yellow complexion with a good transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a fast pace. There was no head. The smell had some sweet dried grassiness, but that’s about it. The taste was somewhat bitter with a dried grassy edge. On the palate, this was really light, super sessionable, carbonation felt good. Overall, eh, low key, non-offensive, so, one could pound it all day long if they wanted to. Me, got better once the garlic spice wings came.

Smells slightly hoppy and fruity. Tastes soapy and hoppy. Had at the Wisconsin game. Pours orange with a third head

Draft at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Citrus and a bit of pine on the aroma. Clear golden color with a thick froth of white head. Fairly coating lacework. Decent hop bitterness. Malt backbone is almost unnoticeable in the flavor. Mouthfeel is okay. A little thin, watery. Finishes crisp and dry. Better than I expected it to be. Probably a perfect gateway IPA for the light beer drinking crowd.

Draft at hobby Buffalo wild wings... Nose is caramel, grainy malts, and light hops... Pours a clear caramel orange color, lasting head, heavy lace... Tastes much the same simple malty sweetness and light hops... Light body and super easy drinking... A thirst quenching, toned down macro-style micro. Basically the Bud of ales. Why is this an APA on here? More like an Amber I’d say.

Draft. Straw gold with white head and lacing. Pine aroma. Flavor is the same with some citrus. Medium bitterness on the finish.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served clear deep amber color with a small head of one finger height. The head fades relatively quickly leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is light overall consisting of a bready smell as well as some caramel aromas. With these smells comes a light toffee and earthy smell. Taste – The taste begins with a lightly toasted bready flavor with a touch of a grain and some caramel. Along with these tastes comes some other flavors of a light toffee. As the taste moves forward the toffee and caramel fade and are replaced by a little bit of molasses. Along with these tastes, other flavors of an earthy flavor and a little bit of grass come at the end, to leave a lighter roasted and easy going amber taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher to average side. For the style it is rather nice and makes for a rather easy drinker overall. Overall – A pretty decent amber brew that drinks easy and has a mild but enjoyable flavor profile.
