Ernest (9030) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 26, 2021UPDATED: MAR 26, 2021 Can (Feb 11, 2021 canning). Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, lime, resin), with a light note of onion. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Fairly decent compared to most IPAs nowadays. Plays things pretty safe and old-school, but it's not as dirty as most modern IPAs. Good flavor balance for the style; low acidity and nice sweet/bitter interplay. Not very memorable, but completely drinkable.
