Imperial Stout with Coffee
When harvesting coffee cherries, it's important not to damage the woody evergreens on which they grow - a gentle "tickle" is all it takes to shake them loose. The base of this rich imperial stout is laden with notes of espresso and dark chocolate and then taken to the next level with a blend of expertly-roasted Guatemalan and Sumatran coffee beans.
Coffee beans roasted locally by Old World Coffee Lab.
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2022 Near black from the can. Almost all coffee on the nose, a little more complex when it reaches room temp. Love me some coffee almost as much as beer, but the flavor here is a bit too over the top. Strong roast, sweet, chocolate, berry, just strong. Loved a small dose, but recognize a full pint would be too much.
