UPDATED: MAR 15, 2020 Can. Dank grapefruit aroma with notes of floral and pine resiny hops. Pours clear copper colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with dank grapefruit and floral hop flavors. Finishes quite dry with pine resiny hop bitter flavors. Decent traditional northwest IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2019 Aroma: Intial aromas of grapefruit, settles to low levels of lavender, floral and soft vanilla from the hops. The malts are faint but provide a low cracker aroma. Appearance: Clear body with a golden orange body with a thick white head consisting of small bubbles with a few medium scattered throughout. Strong head retention with good lacing. Flavor: Citrus with floral notes (lavender) , a slight taste of alcohol. Strong grapefruit flavors, with a touch of orange. The malts are low and provide a toasted flavour balancing the hops. Balance is hoppy, the finish is slightly dry with a linguring bitterness that while pronounced is countered by residual sugar. Mouthfeel: High carbonation, medium body, medium alcohol warmth and a bit of alcohol in the breath, but not leaving a burning or overly alcoholic impression. Is not creamy due to the carbonation, but it's a bit silky/soft on the tongue after the carbonation disperses. Overall: A strongly hopped IPA, but it has a good balance of sweetness and is not too dry which makes it a very enjoyable IPA. The only the detractor from this IPA is the bit of alcohol but it's minor.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2019 Rated on 7-13-2019. Can date - Filled 01-28-19. The appearance is a medium sized off-white fizzy, frothy head that is mostly diminishing, golden transparent body, lively, fast rising carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aromas are citrus, piney, fruity, bitter, sweet, earthy, malt, and caramel. The flavor presents medium bitterness, citrus, dank, bitter, earthy, fruity, malt, caramel, and medium sweet. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and semi-thick. This beer is medium bodied. This is another tasty beer from Revolution Brewing Company. It has a moderate bitter aftertaste. There is lots of dankness and bitterness to this beer. It is worth trying and it is a beer that I would purchase again.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2019 Can: Clear, deep gold with a large, off-white head. Sweet and peppery pine, caramel aroma. Taste is dank and bitter....piney hops, spruce, caramel malt. Nothing that really leaps out....just geared to dankness... But fairly solid.

So, IPA is the big wave now, so lets make a brazillion hero beers that pretty much all have the same backbone; stupidly excessive bitter blast. Yellow with a clear orange tint, big fat head from a slightly cool 2$ can. Smell is piercing volatile dull hop smack in the olfactory. Taste is big giant bitter chewing on almost rotten fermenting green grapefruit rinds soaked in rubbery flavored liquid. Turpentine diesel and spruce sap. Pine needle, bark and cone bitter smoothie. Coarse difficult and nasty. Leaves me with a mouth coating, chewing on rubber, sensational bitter finish. This is an imperial IPA, my man. Like IPA? Then flip the score, its terribly on impy double IPA style.

Tangerines and pine tar aromas arise from the pour, which triggers an endless flow of carbonation (it would not be a pleasant beer to drink directly from a can, I would estimate). Bitter bite in the mouth and at the finish. Pleasant enough.

Tasted from a 12oz. can. It poured a clear golden hue with a big frothy white head that has a slightly orange tint. Delicious tropical fruit salad piney aroma. Well hoped citrus and malt taste with a bit of a bitter finish (68 IBUs).
