b3shine (11340) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - JUN 24, 2016Bomber to snifter. Looks good; a very slightly translucent very dark cola with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a bit of plum as well. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and pleasant. Enjoyable.
biirusaikou (2704) - - JUN 21, 2016Sampled at Mechazilla’s epic insanity tasting session. Rich coffee with a dark chocolate edge, wine texture, brown sugar notes, smooth finish. Really nice coffee imp stout, dangerously drinkable.
willisread (6518) - Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA - MAY 6, 2016Bottle shared at Mechazilla. Huge coffee nose, comes off like a deep roasted chocolate forward single origin in a gibraltar. Tons of cacao nib and dark chocolate milky mocha goodness. Perfect carbonation and as it warms more chocolate and coffee. Finishes with a dry, lingering cacao taste. Hides the abv quite well. This beer does what the name says and well!
TimE (8459) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 4, 2016Pitch black color. Dark brown head. Massive Java in the nose with roasted malts and a touch of dark chocolate. Rich mouth low carbonation tons of Java and chocolate. Super rich never cloying or too sweet.
Very warming finish with big lingering chocolate and Java. Great stuff
sirebril (109) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 8, 2015Big and tasty - the coffee is very present and wonderfully integrated. Surprisingly balanced, the 12.2% is supremely smooth. One of the best coffee added stouts I’ve had. Lacks the syrupy-sweetness of some of the over-done barrel aged beers but makes up for it with a full mouthfeel.
