UPDATED: DEC 8, 2018 Light brown color. Slight hop aroma. Taste is a fuller bodied IPA, with a hint of sweet malt, more bitter than citrus. Bitter hop aftertaste

Sample at the taproom. Cloudy amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Malty aroma with some caramel and citrus notes. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt and mild citrusy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft at the source. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Mostly malt on the nose. Flavors add some bitter hops, caramel, toffee. Long warming finish, noticeable alcohol.

Pours a cloudy orange amber with about two fingers of slowly dissipating foamy off-white head. Brown sugar and raisin notes. Has a sweet brown sugary vibe that fades into a hoppiness. Mouthfeel is only okay but I dig the flavor.

Appearance is cloudy amber with medium white head. Aroma is a little hoppy. Taste is a mix of spices, alcohol and bitter hops. Overall not bad, not great.

ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - JAN 23, 2017
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a cloudy copper color with a small off-white head. The aroma is full of malt and some caramel. The taste matches the aroma with the addition of some fruit flavorings.

JPDIPSO (6618) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 30, 2016
Lightly hazed amber colored liquid. Moderate sized beige head. Decent lace. Nuts, citrus peels and caramel in the aromas. Alcohol is quite evident from the first sip sending a quiver through the body. Flavors of berries, orange peels and toasted malt. Actually the finish is quite malt and enjoyable. A bit unbalance in other areas. 10/11

Poured from bottle. Aroma of malt. Appearance is cloudy gold. Looks frozen. Tasting pine resin, loads of malt, floral hops, brown sugar, alcohol. Palate is heavy and slightly metallic. Overall, this one did not appeal to me. And what the heck is "double pale ale"?
