Ratman197 (22138) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 30, 2010On tap at Rock Bottom Westminster poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of biscuit, pine, spicy hops and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, pine, earthiness and grapefruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.
brentfeesh (1216) - Mansfield, Ohio, USA - NOV 27, 2009Drinking & rating @ the Loveland location. Good looking copper brew. Aroma is spice and biscuit like grain. Flavor is also rather spicy despite the amarillo hops. I’ll drink it but its just ok.
Headbanger (4457) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 21, 2009Draft at Brewery 8/11/09-Pours a hazy orangish amber. Aroma of sweetness. Taste of malt and hops. This was a nice tasting full bodied brew.
RSRIZZO (2264) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - AUG 15, 2009On tap at Rock Bottom Colorado Springs. Color is a hazy amber with mellow carbonation and a small tight head. Aroma is a sweet malty scent. Starting with a bold medium body it goes down with a slightly rich feel. Finish has a nice hop flavor that gives a very light citrus then a fair malt showing and an even bitterness that leaves a dry after taste. This is a good Pale Ale and one of the tastier brews I have had from this brewery.
hopdoge (26) - Colorado, USA - JUL 26, 2009On tap at Rock Bottom Brewery in Colorado Springs. Pours a cloudy, copper color. Medium white head - good lacing. Light hoppy aroma and flavor. Slick texture, medium carbonation, average duration. Slight bitter finish.
MeisterBrew (138) - Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA - APR 11, 2009On tap a Loveland, Co location. Hazy reddish-golden color. Decent lacing. Slight aroma of malt, citrus, and pine. Light hoppiness that ends peppery. Not bad.
SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAR 6, 2006On tap at the Bethesda location. Cloudy dark gold in color with a white head. Strong finishing hop aroma of Cascades. Has a greater hop flavor than the pale ale. Nice bitter palate. Citrus is pronounced. Not a beer for hopheads, so don’t expect too much. Nice, but not great.
TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - AUG 8, 2005UPDATED: SEP 21, 2005 Had on tap at the KOP Rock Bottom (called Prussias Pride IPA at KOP location). Pours a nice amber with an average white head. Slighty dry hopped with more of a piney aroma and taste than floral hops. Decent IPA, but not great. 5-4-6-3-13
Also had this on cask at the KOP location. Picked up more floral hops and orange in the casked version. Also the head was much nicer and stayed around the entire time. Better on cask.
StewardofGondor (1933) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 29, 2005Indy. Transparent pale orange with a short grey head. Aroma reveals honey traces, lemon grass and is pretty gentle all around. Hits the palate and is fairly dead with slim to no hop bitterness. Some sweet caramel and maple syrup make this a crowd pleaser, but I like hops, dammit, and this has none. Thin, watery finish.
PWalk (338) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2005KOP near Philly: If I was going to participate in Rock Bottoms beer pong league I’d use this in my cups. Otherwise I’d only get it with the sampler.
