Big sweet flavour, syrupy, some ripe fruits, caramel, dates. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly chewy. Somewhat warming in the finish, more gooey toffee and ripe fruits. Good stuff. Fun.

Chestnut brown with a moderate off white covering.
Nose is rich fruit rinds, caramel, vanilla, fruit cake, straw.
Taste comprises toffee, vanilla, dark fruit rinds, malt loaf, brown sugars.
Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy hop chase.

stevoj (12142) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 24, 2015On tap at PreFunk. Murky copper pour, small creamy beige head. Overall comes off as very malty, nice bitter hop finish compliments the overall brew. I saw a comment that said barleywine light., very appropriate.

The_Osprey (10582) - WALES - SEP 9, 2015Cask at GBBF. Very dark brown, red hue, small foamy off-white head. Aroma doesn’t have much going on. Just a bit biscuity. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is biscuity, musty yeast, dusty dry with some a metallic bitterness. Alright. Came across a bit stale and yeasty.
MrTipple (13256) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2015Aroma: dusty straw, grain and cereal malts, some bread, some alcohol. Appearance: clear, dark brown, medium, frothy, beige head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: grassy, heavy floral hops, nice bitters coming up in the finish, medium body, sticky, soft carbonation. Overall: excellent Bitter, nicely complex. Pint at GBBF 2015, Kensington Olympia.
thomat (4444) - Goteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 19, 2015On tap @ GBBF 2015. Dark amber with a tiny off white head. Fruity and spicy tones. Fruit, malt, spices and hops. Medium to full body with a long bitter / spicy finish.
Scopey (21884) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - AUG 13, 2015Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours clear brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, musty, brown bread, leather, varnish, pine needles, spice, sulphur and fart. The taste is smooth, rich, woody, leather, caramel, piney varnish, spicy edge, old leather sofa, alcohol boost and toast with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting and rich.
