UPDATED: JUL 16, 2021 12 ounce bottle. Deep honey gold color. Frothy beige head. Earthy malt aroma. Flavor upfront is light toasted malt with nutty notes. Some citrus hops reminiscent of grapefruit pith and pine.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2020 Copper body with off white head Light fruit aroma. Light bodied tasted like juice. Got better as it warmed.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2020 Keg at Eugene City Brewery (Rogue), Eugene, OR on 19/06/2008. As ‘Buckwheat Ale’. A fairly sweet beer, with some apple and fruity notes. Cereal flavours in the linger.

Copper with an off-white head. Malty, sweet, biscuit profile. Some fruity esters. Medium bodied. Sweeter finish. It wasn't really what I was expecting but it was quite disappointing.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy amber with moderate head. Aromas of papery toasted malts and apple jelly. Subtle fruit flavors with something like quince and dried pears on a soft biscuity malt base. Soft carbonation. Okay.

Pours orangish red. Has a dank earthiness to it. Sweeter than I expected at first, but then the experience mellows out and there’s not much to define it by the end. Very light drinking.

Backlog, bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a medium 2 finger head. smell and taste are nuts, grapefruit, pine, malt, and toffee. Light to medium bodied with a forgettable finish.

Draft. Rogue morimoto soba ale. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of roasted buckwheat, malt, little fruity, slightly acidy. Flavour is well rounded with malts, roasted buckwheat, peach, other fruits, hops. Light to moderate bitter finish. Really good!

Hazy golden color. Dry, with a quite strong grainy character, a bit dusty and earthy, also weak in the final. But it has enough bitterness. I may be able to drink a small glass of it with some greasy food.
Simple beer, not bad.
