COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The name "Oblah Da" comes from Jimmy Scott-Emuakpor's saying "obladi oblada, life goes on, brah" that Paul McCartney made into a Beatles' song. The song was a great homage to reggae/highlife music, despite the troubles and toil that went into making the recording we know. Something like that goes on in the brewery too in making beer ;) Fruity, slightly sweet, chocolate, roast, and some caramel malts that give combine with the chocolate malt to give some people a molasses note - that's Oblah da. Stout, tropical style.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2020 [11179-20181202] 473mL can. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Dark brown black body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Candied roasted wooden grains flavour has a sweet caramelized coffee note in the finish. Full body has a funky finish. Interesting. (6/3/7/3-/13) 3.2-

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2018 2018-12-02. Black body, small frothy beige head. 3+ Aroma is interesting, dry dusty light roast, dark malt, and a mild fruity undercurrent. Flavour is lightly bitter, a bit tangy, the roast and fruit mixes in ways that are at times discordant. Average bodied palate is a touch lighter than warranted, amplified by very light carbonation. Okay. 7/3+/7/3/14 Can from Rurban, Cornwall.

Can, shared at game night by Shea. Dark brown, copper highlights. Fruity dark caramel and hard roast, sweet with a burnt bitter finish. Quite nice.
