UPDATED: DEC 21, 2020 This is a totally solid IPA. Nice balance, without any of that, 'what is THAT strange flavor?' at any point. Pliny the Elder brought me to Russian River, but I enjoy this one just as much or more in a blind tasting.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2020 So this is my favorite Russian River beer (I have not yet tried a Pliney the younger) Strong but tasty, went down easy but packed a punch. Great name and label. One great beer.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2020 Wow is this good beer! Everything is so dialed in and flawless I just can't believe it. I wish I'd bought a lot more. super fresh grapefruit hops with exact perfect amount of malt and carbonation to balance huge fluffy frothy off-white head that lasts a long time just the right amount of bitterness and an outstanding finish. Man these guys can brew beer.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2020 Remarkable. Absolutely hoppy, pine and floral on the nose. Beautifully light and luscious mouthfeel. Would buy this again for $8 a bottle. Grapefruit notes, pale yellow color, beautifully balanced, dry finish. Not sweet. Totally drinkable. A serious craft beer.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2020 Taster pour on tap at Boneyard Bistro. Appearance is lightly hazy, piss yellow with tons of sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with excellent retention and tons of soapy lacing. Aroma is nondescript fruit salad. Taste is sweet nondescript fruit salad with offsetting strong bitterness. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and dry, crisp, mostly bitter finish. Overall, a really nice look but the aroma and taste are fairly weak and the dominant feature of the brew is bitterness.
