Bottle shared at Brouwer's Cafe. The beer is a clear reddish-copper color with a medium ivory white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of tart fruit, oak, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart fruits, vinous oak, funky and peppery yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart and oaky with a lingering citric aftertaste. Very good beer all around.

On tap @ Brouwer’s - last keg ever! Super stoked to finally try this. Pours clear reddish orange with thin watery heavily lacy white head. Aroma is dry oaky tart apricots and peaches, light tartness with a faint berry note. Taste is likewise, the fruit has definitely faded, and a more vinegary acidity dominates. Oaky, rich, and dry body. Having never tried this before, obviously nothing to compare it against but definitely an intense almost concentrated flavor profile. In the same vein as most of the other *tion series. Amazing flavor for such a low abv.

Bottle someon passed around at Wakefield OG party. Nose is super lemon and acidic with a zesty note very cloudy deep orange. Very acidic and almost vinager. Rough on the throat and unbalanced in mouthfeel. Better as you drink but overly rough

Bottle pour during the OG Party. Hazy amber pour with a small off-white head. Big oaky character on the nose. Buggy, plenty of must. Some salt and balsamic vinegar. Flavor is a bit acetic, sharp. More oak. Red fruit skin. Mild citrus. Somewhat tired, clearly on the decline. Soft carb.

Bottle shared at the Moeder Lambic cellar session 2015. Pours very hazy amber with a small off white head. Aroma of dusty funk, cobwebs, peppery notes and light tart fruits. Flavour is above light sweet and over moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lovely to try and certainly on of the best US sours I’ve tried at this time.

600th sour rating. Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with medium off white head. The aroma is funk, cherry skin, wood, brett. Thin mouth, lots of brett, nice funk, oak, tart cherry, stone fruit, low acidity, really enjoyed this one.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2016 Red-orange pour. Nose is raspberries, lacto, wine barrel. Taste is raspberries, tart, yogurt, a slight touch of cardboard on the finish that goes away as it warms.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma has a nice, bright acidity at first but as it recedes you pick up some older notes and some light oxidation. A bit vinous with some light oak character. Light tropical fruit and stone fruit notes, but a slightly rotting fruit character. Pours a very clear, copper amber color with a medium sized, slightly off white head with never ending retention. Medium light lacing and small legs.Flavor is fairly acidic with some light vinegar notes and some medium light citrus. A medium light oak character with faint oak tannins. Some light oxidation with a hint of malt notes. Some cherry and dark berry notes with hints of stone and tropical fruit. Some moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, better than I thought it would be but it is also past its prime. Lots of fruit and more oak than I expected. Some light vinegar notes show through. A bit oxidized.

This one poured an orange color with a white head. Aroma was of dark fruits, vinegar, and light oxidation. Flavor was similar, fairly sour, Americanized sour brown, dark fruits, and light mineral character. Can tell its old, but still good.

Bottle shared thanks to beerman6686. Copper golden clear pour. Aroma of vinegar and apple cider. Taste is sour with a slight raisin taste. A bit on the sour side. Still good.
