COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
100% BRETT FERMENTED. Technically, this is neither an ale nor a lager. The base recipe is for a Golden Ale, but we do the primary fermentation with 100% brettanomyces. The brett gives it some sour notes but not as much as if it had been aged with lacto and pedio. It’s rather refreshing on a warm day!

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2020 Bottle (2011) pour in bottle share--thanks WillRunForBeer! Appearance is pale yellow with no sparkle, no head and no lacing. Aroma is mildly tart fruit. Taste is strong tart fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, more tart than sour without a ton of complexity. However, given Brett can really turn me off, quite tolerable.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2020 I had a beer to forget. So looking into my fridge there was a straightforward way to clean up the memories: Russian River. This is a Brett golden, so simple and so perfect. Pours golden, fluffy head with great retention and some lacing. A lot of Brett funk on the nose, floral and fruity. Perfect. Tastes slightly tart, very mild, bready malts, funky yeast, fruity esters and white pepper. Man, this for beer manual. Just simple perfection. Total love! And the palate, well, so smooth, amazingly smooth, like chugging foam, soft, mild, light. TOP!
