"i’ve come across some inconsistencies in the bottle, which i think has contributed to a couple negative reviews...possibly due to improper storage at the retailer, and not the original quality of the beer. I’ve had this beer as good as an A+, and as low as a C, but I’d say low A-/high B+ overall. The great hop aroma, and balance of hops and crystal malt are my favorite attributes of the beer. Worth getting on tap if you can."

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, wet cardboard and light fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, oxidation anmd sour funk with a crisp lasting funky finish.

12 oz bottle, courtesy of my Secret Santa. Pours a muddy brown/amber color with an untamed, huge angry head. Aroma is malt with a small hop presence as well as some grain. Moderate in body with average carbonation. Taste is caramel malt with toast. Enough hop/pine resin flavor to make it more interesting. Bit of an off putting metallic flavor. Pretty good.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2009 Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr/Ungstrup. Pours a clear deep and warm amber with a small off-white head. Medium-bodied, roasted malt dominates plus a little nuts and burned caramel. The finish has a lightly perfumy hop note that leaves a light bitterness. 210309 and 130709

Bottle, 6.?%. Old fruit aroma. Cloudy dark red brown colour. The flavour is better than the aroma, vinous med some dried fruit. A little dust. Some coriander in the finish. Good, but I would have liked it fresher.

WakeandBake (549) - Greenville, Michigan, USA - MAR 23, 2009
22oz Bottle. A murky amber color with a nice fluffy off white head.,medium carbonation and spotty lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet malty, some yeast, with nice citrus and spice hop notes. Flavor is of sweet toasted caramal malt ,not very bitter as the aroma would lead you to believe but a nice bright hop flavor ,a little bread ,a bit more of the hops on the finish but the aftertaste is sweet malt again quite drinkable. Very nice brew

Ungstrup (47893) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 21, 2009
Bottled. A hazy red beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of grapefruity and flowery. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops giving it notes of grapefruit and grass on a caramel malty backdrop, leading to a bitter finish.
