COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2022 Nice. Easy drinking seasonal beer in the style. Not too heavy on the flavors so you can have a few in one session. I recommend it. Cheers.

mkcmagico (1100) - Mezokövesd, HUNGARY - JAN 4, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2022 0,33 bottle. Az új piros cimke elég mutatós. A sör barnásvörös, érdekes, kicsit zavaros. Elfogadható, sőt, egész finom old style októberfest. :) Mindenképp érdemes a jéghidegnél melegebben inni.

wetherel (3694) - Cupertino, California, USA - DEC 30, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2021 Bottle from my brother. Amber/tea color. Medium caramel malty flavor. Clean dry finish. Good attention. Pretty good.

MNAle (640) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 31, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2021 Deep amber, clear, with sparse tiny bubbles rising to a tall, thick, off-white head with excellent retention. Not much lacing. The aroma is not too strong, but it is quite good. Bready, toasty, with some caramel. The taste is very malty with lots of bread and caramel. The caramel is more obvious than in the aroma. The flavor carries through to the finish, with just a very slight bittering detected. The aftertaste is, as the initial taste, bready malts with caramel. On the sweet-dry scale, the finish is sweet, but not cloyingly so. The sweetness is well controlled. The overall flavor is pleasant and enjoyable, but relatively straightforward without complexity at all. The mouth feel is thin, while also being coating. Overall, I can see why this beer is popular with the public, while also not being a favorite of the beer enthusiast. I am enjoying it, but it wouldn't be a repeat purchase. (I like the Adams Festbier much better. That one I might buy again, if available separately.)

Arbitrage411 (73) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2021 Vibrant golden amber beneath a shallow head. No lacing. Soft drink aroma sweet, and in appearance. Decent bubble stream. Candy fragrance. The bitter bite is quickly eliminated by a bread like cereal transition. Alcohol/hop flavors on the tongue. Not a whole lot going on in the taste department. Straight up, non memorable. Some carbonation in a medicinal finish.

rw4244 (156) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2021 Pour clear amber. Strong malt aroma and taste. Slight toffee, grain, biscuit and sweetness. Bitter and alcohol on finish.

chinhaez (155) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - AUG 22, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 22, 2021 12 oz bottle. Copper-reddish pour wit a small off-white head that soon fades away. The aroma is spicy with straw, thyme, pepper and earth. The taste is caramel malts set nicely in a semi-spicy base. The palate is full and even. The carbonation is soft. Finishes clean. Overall Good stuff.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2021 Old rating from 2013 - 355ml bottle from the National Brewery Museum in Burton upon Trent. Poured at home in Jersey. It's copper colour with a thin white head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, toffee, raisins, grain, toast, hints of spice & malt. Medium body. Medium sweet finish. Highly enjoyable
