COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams is currently in the process of brewing up a German style called “radler.” The name radler translates to “cyclist,” A 50/50 (ish) blend of beer and lemonade. (Like a shandy). Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2021 Actually liked this more than I expected. The lemony aftertaste is refreshing and palate cleansing.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2021 Interesting! I was not expecting the sweetness. It's nice! It is definitely lemonade mixed with beer, not a citrus-flavored beer. It's refreshing and balanced. A little bitter on the after taste.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2021 The dominant lemon flavor was well mixed with the fruit flavors that make up the body of this beer. I am not crazy about it but it is ok. Different from what I am used to.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2021 12 oz bottle. Pours a gold with virtually no head. Smells of citrus and malt. Big lemonade flavors with a malt underneath. Fizzy mouthfeel with above average carbonation. Classic shandy.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2021 One of the four beers in their beers of Summer variety pack. Average white head atop of bubbly golden body. It smells of lemon and lime with a hint of hops. It's cool and refreshing with a little on the sweet side but not from the maltz. There's a bit of an aftertaste I don't like and this isn't something I could imagine making a regular it's definitely a seasonal.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2021 Bottle poured into a shaker. Golden yellow with a thick white head. Aroma is wheat and lemonade. Initial taste is wheat and a sharp lemon zing. Fades to... not much. Palate is light and sharp carbonation. It's fine. Easy to drink when you don't want something too heavy.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2021 Look -- after you've had a couple Pliny DDH's and you're hopped up (get it? 'hopped up!'?) and you want a lowish alcohol beer to finish the night. This is your beer, or any of Sam Adam's Summer series. Same with all of them. They are DECENT beers! Just not what I would start an evening off with. Ya dig?

Quick3Beers (2635) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - APR 21, 2021
UPDATED: APR 21, 2021 Pours a clear amber from a bottle. Lemon pez aroma and flavor, overly sweet with a weirdly bitter finish. Okay beer.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2020 As you lift it to your mouth, you can smell the citrus and fruits expecting something amazing... but it just doesn't taste anywhere near as good as it should.
