UPDATED: OCT 19, 2021 Pint can from Homespun Kitchen in Atlantic Beach, FL. The lager poured a clear light gold color with a white head and lacing. The aroma of crystal malts and grain. The lager has a medium body and average carbonation. The lager has a grainy, oily taste. Malty aftertaste.

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2021 1 pint can. Pours a clear bright gold with a white fluffy head quickly gone. Malty smells with some dank hops notes. Nice lemony hops over great malt breadiness. Full bodied for a lager and very pleasant.

MNAle (640) - Minnesota, USA - APR 8, 2021
UPDATED: APR 8, 2021 Code on the bottom of the can: S D 22 T1. From what I can determine, here is the decoder ring for Samuel Smith date codes: S=Samuel Smith D=Month (A=Jan) xx=Day of month T=Year (A=2001) 1=ignore? From that, I get April 22, 2020. So, 1 year old. Crystal clear golden yellow body with columns of bubbles rising to a 1 inch white, thick head. The head recedes fairly quickly leaving sticky lacing clinging to the glass. In the aroma, I get grass, biscuit, and fruit - apple or pear. The flavors in the taste repeat the aroma, with just a touch of bittering initially that fades a bit, but does hang on into the finish and aftertaste. The apple/pear flavors are quite pleasing and blend well with the grass and biscuit. There is a solid bready maltiness as well. The hops add just enough bitterness to keep the beer balanced, crisp, and refreshing. The mouth feel is on-point for the style. It is thin, for sure, but it has a nice presence on the tongue. A bit creamy as well. Overall, this beer seems to have survived its age and poor treatment in reasonably good shape. I can see why this beer is #1 in its style. It's only too bad I didn't get a fresh one to try.

LagerGuide122 (803) - - AUG 6, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2020 550ml bottle brewed in England at 5%. Clear lemon yellow, not overly bright, with a good large long-lasting head. Aroma of bread and sweetcorn - but not overdoing it. Moderate carbonation. Thick texture, really like drinking bread. Hearty white bread with some sweetcorn flavours - but robust enough to carry it without being sickly. Some light pseudo-citrus faintly vegetal hops. Simple but very effective lager. Organic isn't a gimmick - just put a bottle of this and a bottle of Stella side by side and see for yourself. Lovely natural-tasting lager, robust simple flavours. Not a big lager drinker, and this is a little sweet for me, but still a real winner.

seymour (2587) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - APR 29, 2019
UPDATED: APR 29, 2019 Tasted from bottle into sampler glass at 2019 Centennial Fest, it poured a clear golden colour with sudsy white foam and lace. Crisp and clean, grainy, grassy, definite minerality in mouthfeel (gypsum?), earthy, herbal, floral, faintest black pepper spice. Light body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Delicious.
