SDalkoholic (2459) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 13, 2012On tap @ SDBC: Poured a dark tan brown with a thin creamy layer of head. The aroma was tame yet had a presence of roasted down malts. Flavor is rich and is pure chocolate milk with a sweet base of lightly roasted malts in the background. Extremely smooth palate and my girlfriend almost started drinking it with a straw.
JorisPPattyn (12750) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - MAY 10, 2012Draught Good beige head, very resistent over black beer. Black chocolate, tobaccoash, mocha, roasted malts. Sweet, very sweet chocolate, touch of mocha/coffee. Finish has bitter/roasted coffee notes, better. Well-bodied, slick to viscous. Long sticky aftertaste. Too sweet. Could easily be bettered by a bit more fermenting out/lagering, IMO.

Flavor is thick malty and smooth creamy. Got a hint of peanut butter mixed in with the creamy cocoa. Yummy brew!

danielcurtis81 (1519) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 30, 2009On tap at Newport Alehouse. Pours a deep chocolate brown with a thin head. Nose is creamy malts and bakers chocolate. Flavors enter with mild roasted malt. The chocolate flavors build slowly through the beer and build to a decent chocolate milk flavor and texture. Creamy mouth. Nice little porter.
Papsoe (25041) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2009On tap. Pours a very dark brown - almost black - with a vague reddish hue and a creamy beige head. Intense chocolate aroma combined with the toasted malts. Quite a solid body, lots of chocolate, roasted malt and a coffee bitterness that comes late and balances the chocolate sweetness quite well. Some malt bitterness in the finish, that also holds some alcohol. 070709
