Jabah (2479) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 27, 2019UPDATED: MAR 27, 2019 I didn't care for their regular pale ale at all, but found this quite decent and drinkable. The dry-hopping and whatever else they do for the 'APA' qualities work wonders. Still about average for the style though, and not really worth seeking out with all that's out there.
jbruner (8524) - Lakewood, California, USA - NOV 5, 2017Pours a slightly hazy golden brown on tap with fluffy off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of nice citrus and diesel dry hop notes over a mild caramel and bready malt base. Taste follows, clean and hoppy, nothing offensive or over the top, but not bad. Definitely towards the old school, but I don't hate it.
balloonbuffoon (1125) - - SEP 28, 201712floz, BOD: 07.31.2017, $13 paid for a Schlafly mix 12-pack, nonic glass. Brass gold in appearance with a good frothy head. Smells like a mixture of honey, pine, and grapefruit. This is a very good all-around APA that I've had many times before. It's unfortunate Schafly has removed this from their six-pack rotation in favor of some dumb sub-par IPA they want to put out. Great toasted (a little sweet) maltiness matches the mild chewiness of resiny hop flavor. This was one of my favorite go to beers that I knew would be available in stores and often on draft...but I am only one beer drinker.
Bif (2972) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - SEP 10, 2017On tap at Shamrocks. Pours a golden color with a decent head. Aroma of citrus, bit of malt sweetness and grain. Taste citrus and light caramel sweetness and grain. Some bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body and fairly smooth. Fairly average.

Bottle- Pours a golden color with a decent head that slowly fades. Not much aroma, just a trace of citrus and hint of sweetness. The taste is citrus with a lingering bitterness, which is not a bad thing. It has a medium feel, continued carbonation and mildly dry finish. A respectable mid-range APA. I would like to try this fresh on tap to compare.
jandd1983 (6872) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - SEP 8, 2017On tap and made exclusively for Shamrock's. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of malts, florals and hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, florals, caramel and hops. It had a medium body with smooth carbonation. Decent.

It pours a transparent amber bronze with a thin white head. Aroma of lightly crystal malt and a big grapefruity hop presence. Body starts with a nice pale malty sweetness balanced with crisp, citrus hops toward a bittersweet drier clean finish. Very drinkable without lacking in flavor or body. A good APA.
ryrpat (411) - Illinois, USA - MAR 30, 2017Solid apa. Lots of mild flavor. Very smooth and incredibly drinkable. Will definitely look to have this again

migwell (369) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 16, 2017Trying to remember the various great beers I had while bicycling cross-country last year. This one seems not too well known outside it’s local area, but is a damn good beer. I hadn’t been in the States for some years and was quite impressed with the improvements and availability of good craft beers (you are excused, Utah) and I recall going into a bottle shop somewhere in Middle America, land of Bud Light, and asking for something ’dry hopped’. The knowledgeable guy in the shop sold me this. Full flavored, well hopped, not straying far from its style, it is a fine one!
Clareeses (304) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 15, 2017On draft at the airport because I needed it. Pours clear amber, little head retention. I have very little to say about the aroma...barely discernible. Hoppy with an almost pilsner-y malt aftertaste, finishes bitter. Overall ok to drink but nothing spectacular, like most Schlafly brews imo.
jgb9348 (9218) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 13, 2017Slightly hazy perfectly coloured body of copper and bronze with a glowing orange tint and a thinnish one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of crisp fresh grassy and very herbal hops with some noticeable malt and alcohol. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal hops with a bitter kick and some nicely balanced malt right behind. Aftertaste is rich and robust with the grass and herbs still very noticeable, but also with the malt and the bitterness. Overall, a nice APA with a big bitter taste and profile that shows well and lasts very long! I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught during a tap takeover at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 13-February-2017 for US$4,00 at the end of my driveway.
slowrunner77 (19086) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JAN 24, 2017From the Bonfire Box. Didn’t drink as fresh as I should have, but still is a nicely balanced mellow apa. Grapefruit, pine, grass, caramel and a touch of biscuit/bread. Moderate bitterness.
