UPDATED: NOV 19, 2021 On tap at Dominion Wine & Beer in Falls Church, VA. Had heard lots of great things about this one, but didn't quite live up to my expectations. A little heavy on the spice for my preference. Has a darker amber appearance, but doesn't quite have the body to back it up. Could use a little more hops to offset the sweetness. A decent brew, just not quite what I'm looking for in this style.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2021 Draft at Bru Craft. Mostly clear orangey/red amber pour with a tuft of off-white foam. Some definite pumpkin here but the other pumpkin pie spices dominate. Nutmeg. Clove. Cinnamon. Vanilla. Feels surprisingly juicy. An otherwise simple brew but one can certainly do worse with pumpkin beers.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2021 Amber color with well formed off white tiny bubble head. Definite fragrance, that of spicy cinnamon, pungent nutmeg. Initial taste is that of the candy “Red Hots”, remember, from your childhood. The effervescence continues to waft up the sweet smell, which remains in the glass. Dry taste and also not too far bitter. A gentle warming ABV. Short of extraordinary, the finish is a mixture of its namesake Pumpkin and that of a kind of cola.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2021 Dark Amber pour. Creamy beige head. All spice and pumpkin pie spice flavor. Pumpkin flavor with spice palate. Easy carbonation. Nice seasonal beer.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2020 Deep copper, with lots of tiny bubbles giving a semi-opaque appearance that slowly clarifies. Moderate lacing, head is cinnamon, vanilla and pumpkin (smells like a yummy Yankee candle). Lighter mouthfeel and more drinkable than you’d expect given the ABV. Slightly sweet cinnamon and really just darn good testy beer! More interesting and complex than any other pumpkin ale I’ve tried. Highly Recommended!

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2020 Aroma of allspice, cinnamon, pumpkin. Nice white head. As close as you’ll get to pumpkin pie in a beer, without being too sweet. Very nice.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2020 Pretty balanced for a Pumpkin ale! Not too over the top with spices, or malt sweetness. Interesting, and perhaps my favorite of this style.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2020 Great pumpkin ale. Balanced between the vegetable and herbal notes with the spice. Mildly sweet.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2019 Very refreshing pumpkin beer! Very nice pumpkin flavor. Well put together. Alcohol level is well blended in the body of the beer. Well done!

PhillyCraft (11988) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 13, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2019 Sampled on tap, orange color with a medium foamy head. Notes are pumpkin guts, spices, vegetal, cinnamon, and clove especially as it warms up. Lighter to medium body with similar carbonation. Alright, nose was much better than flavor.
